  • Ryan Galdamez  |  lead pastor

    Hi, I’m Ryan Galdamez.

Probably the most important thing that someone could know about me is that I am a great sinner saved by the amazing grace of God through the death, burial, and resurrection of my Lord Jesus Christ. These are not merely words to me but are the very essence of who I am and what my life is now all about. Beyond that, I am the husband of my beautiful wife, Shelly, and I am a father of seven children with ages ranging from three to twenty. I serve Grace Baptist Church as the Lead Pastor. Grace has been my church home since 1998 while I have lived in Tahlequah, and I have been blessed to serve as a pastor here since 2003.

  • Mike Brown  |  worship minister

I have the privilege of serving as the Worship Minister here at Grace. My main tasks relate to the weekly Worship services. Whether selecting music, rehearsing the team, dealing with the sound and technical aspects of our auditorium, or organizing the services, I seek to make our Worship times a God exalting, God honoring, and God glorifying celebration.

God has blessed me with my beautiful wife Anna, who has inspired me to pursue Christ with all of my life. We have four children (all boys): Ryan, Corbin, Micah, and Dylan.

I grew up in a Christian home; always involved in my church youth group; yet I was 17 years old before I truly knew that God had called me to be His. God changed my life!

Enjoying music all of my life, God has allowed me to use my gifts in service to Him. I was a part of the Grace Worship team for many years before being asked to serve as the Worship Minister on a part time basis. My full time job is as an Instructor of Art at Northeastern State University here in Tahlequah, where I teach classes in Photography and Graphic Design. I love how "creative" our God is, and enjoy the interaction with students that the classroom offers.

I invite you to come to Grace and enjoy celebrating our redemption through worshiping our God in song.

  • Kyle Murray  |  college minister

Hi! I have the great privilege of working with college students and young adults. I am originally from Tulsa, but have called Tahlequah my home since I came to college here in 2003. At my “day job” I work for Northeastern State University in the office of Admissions and Recruitment. But my true calling is to pour into the lives of people by equipping them the through God’s Word and Christian fellowship. I am currently working on an M.Div. in Pastoral Studies through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is my great desire for the young people at NSU – and across the globe – to see all of life through the lens of Jesus Christ, and to live intentionally with the goal of worshiping Him in all they do, and advancing His kingdom in any way possible.

God has blessed me with a wonderful family. My beautiful wife Keisha and I were married on October 10, 2009. We have two beautiful and energetic children, Emersyn and Keegan.

While I grew up in the church and attended regularly, I was only saved by placing my faith and trust in Christ a year before I went off to college. I am constantly amazed at the grace of God in my life, specifically through this church that I have been able to call home for over ten years. It is my desire to see young adults fall more in love with Jesus Christ, and to see them getting equipped and serving His kingdom through the local church.

If you are a college student (or college-aged), please join us as we go deeper into God’s Word to discover who He is, who we are in Him, and how He has called us to live. We have a small group that meets in a home on Wednesday nights at 6:00pm for dinner, Bible study and prayer. We also have a college class that meets on Sunday mornings at 9:15.

“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering,

for He who promised is faithful.” ~ Hebrews 10:23

  • Gabriel Garcia  |  pastor hispano

I was born in Mexico City, the youngest of 11 children. I was blessed with a godly mother, who helped me understand my condition as a sinner. At the age of 7, I trusted in Christ as my Savior. I studied Computer Programming, then Bible & Theology through the Biblical Training Center for Pastors in Querétaro. While I was studying there and working as a bank teller, I started praying that God would show me how He wanted me to serve Him. That was when God called me to serve Him full-time. I met my wife Janine in 2004 because she came to serve as a missionary at the same church that I was serving at.We got married three years later, and God has blessed us with three boys: Isaac, Andrés, and Benjamin.

I am humbled and excited to be serving as the Pastor of Iglesia Bautista Grace, reaching out with Grace Baptist Church to Spanish-speakers here in Tahlequah with the love and grace God extends to all of us through Jesus Christ. We meet on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., and we also have a Bible Study on the basics of the faith on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

  • Bill Cross  |  elder

My wife Teresa and I came to Tahlequah sixteen years ago and began attending Grace Baptist Church soon after we arrived. We came to Grace because of the expositional teaching and the style of worship we found here. It has been my privilege to be part of the Elder board during most of the years we have been here.

Jesus tells us in Mathew, Chapter 11 vs:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest". Grace is a wonderful church to discover the rest Jesus was referring to in this verse.

  • Kerry Hokit  |  elder

Hello, my name is Kerry Hokit. I have the privilege of teaching an adult Sunday school class and serving as one of the church’s elders. Married to Brenda, we have two daughters Wendy and Ruth and three grandchildren Luke, Colby and Annsley.

Thanks for visiting our website. I pray you will receive enough information to want to join us in worship.

Psalm 118:1 "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!"

  • Don Rutledge  |  elder

Hi, my name is Don Rutledge and I have the high honor of serving as elder at Grace Baptist Church of Tahlequah,

I grew up in Washington State attending Multnomah School of the Bible (now Multnomah University), graduating from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and Dallas Theological Seminary. My wife, Pat, and I served as missionaries with Camino Global (formerly CAM International) for 32 years in Guatemala and Dallas, Texas. I was also in pastoral ministry for 15 years. We have a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Most importantly, I am a grateful sinner saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace…whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."
